King's Medical Centre will always aim to see you quickly with your medical problems.
Patients are advised to ring the surgery at 8.30am on the morning that they wish to be seen. Lines open at 8.30am and appointments are made on a first come first served basis. When all appointments for the day have been filled, patients are advised to call again the following day.
Appointments are for one person only and we aim to see you on time unless the doctor is called out of surgery to attend an emergency.
Remember you can book online if you signed up to this facility - please ask for more information at reception or call us. You may also pre-book an appointment if the GP requests to see you.
Emergency bookings are available. It is helpful if we know the reason for this as it will help us to direct you to the most appropriate healthcare professional.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason, please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. If you miss more than two appointments without cancelling, you will receive a warning letter. Further missed appointments may result in you being removed from the practice list.
Choosing the right care
How to make sure you choose the right care when you are injured or unwell
If you are injured or ill, the NHS provides a range of services to help you get well. You can get faster and better treatment by choosing the NHS service that can best treat your symptoms. This will help us reduce the pressure on services like A&E so they can help those people in most need.
Remember: A&E is for life threatening illnesses and injuries only.
